Last month, R&R dancers attended the Denver, CO Celebrity Dance Convention, taking the stage with brand-new solos and training for over 12 hours across multiple genres of dance.
At conventions like Celebrity, dancers spend the entire weekend immersed in classes of nearly every dance style—learning new choreography, refining technique, and growing under the guidance of convention faculty, many of whom are accomplished professionals in the dance industry. Throughout the weekend, dancers also audition for scholarships, prizes, and the opportunity to be selected for the prestigious Celebrity Crew.
Last season, R&R’s own Peyton Vialpando and Macie Pinelle were chosen for Senior Crew, while Grace Pinelle earned a spot on Junior Crew. As Crew members, they were invited to assist convention instructors in three different cities—a unique opportunity to learn, lead, and inspire. Naturally, Denver was a top choice for Peyton and Macie, who were thrilled to assist at their hometown convention. Our younger dancers were equally inspired to see their teammates living out such an incredible accomplishment!
In the convention rooms, R&R dancers made waves in every age division. Rooms often have over 150 dancers in attendance. Many of our dancers earned full or partial scholarships to return next season—an outstanding testament to their hard work and talent. We are also proud to share that Grace Pinelle was selected for Junior Crew for the second season in a row!
On stage, our soloists debuted their new 2026 Competition Season routines, receiving early feedback from the judges and setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
